MySpace Music unsure about leader heading into stretch run
Now obviously I don’t know the personal dynamics behind what is going on over there with Mr. Murdoch or the rest of the MySpace contingency but I will say this - an external CEO is a great idea. What MySpace will need is a CEO that can bully the labels back a little bit while appeasing their demands at the same time. Unfortunately, it is a bit late in the process to name a CEO I feel like - that would have been a great idea to have done months ago. Additionally, the inability for MySpace music to generate a significant amount of buzz has possible detrimental overtones for the service, overtones that can be proven incorrect if a cogent service is supplied in the end.
