Development near Capitol Records approved by LA City Council
This story has been an interesting development the past few weeks. Basically, Capitol Records has one of the most storied recording studios in the music business (it was designed by Les Paul) but it is temporarily threatened by a serious development project across the road. In a nutshell, jackhammers and bulldozers aren’t very kind to the sonic waves of instruments so Capitol was trying to fight the project, claiming it would curb their ability to record for the length of construction. Clearly the courts didn’t buy it…
